Board of Trustees is the uppermost decision-making body and it represents the legal entity of the institution of higher education.
Board of Trustees consists of at least seven people who have the qualities in accordance with the procedure laid down in rules and regulations, and elected by the Co-founder Foundation General Assembly for a period of four years. The university president is the natural member of Board of Trustees. Other members of the University, except the President, cannot take part in Board of Trustees. State University teaching staff can work on Board of Trustees on the condition that the necessary approval has been granted from their universities.
The Board of Trustees makes contracts with the administrative, academic and other staff that will be assigned in the higher education institution and approves their appointment. It also approves the promotion of the staff except for academic personnel and their dismissal. It accepts the budget of the higher education institution and monitors the applications there. It decides on the fees to be required of the students.
